Viscant posted a long time ago how Anakaris can connect one cr. lk into an infinite into guardbreak, into infinite, which pretty much guaranteed 300% damage off of a crouching lk. I forgot how the infinite went, but it involved cyke aaa, and pharoah's curse. Search Viscant's posts, it was pretty involved description. He even talked about choosing the same colors for cyke and Anakaris for psych out purposes. Cool stuff. While the infinite appeared to be his best strategy, I think I've heard of people trying to use him runaway style, but this is very risky against certain AAAs, like Capcom and BH. Posted by Dank on 10:04:2001 02:53 AM: I don't know too many Anakaris strategies, but I know I abuse the hell out of his command throw (idle hands??). You can try poking your opponent, then connecting the throw while they are still in recovery/block stun. Works like a charm, and decent damage too. I try no to drop too many coffins, since this move seems to leave you wide open. Also, Anakaris's jump is pretty floaty, so try to stay away from it. Finally, Anakaris has pretty poor stamina, so try to avoid trading blows. Posted by ComboFighter on 10:04:2001 11:56 PM: Hmm... Anakaris, let me think. Best two people in my opinion to pair him up with are Cykes-AAA and Chun Li-Expand. Cykes helps with the infinite mentioned earlier. Chun Li helps with rush down. Dash in with c.LK + Chun assit, c.LK, s.FP xx Idle Hands. The opponent will duck to aviod the Idle Hands but will get hit by Chun since you need to stand to block her. Mix this up a bit to keep the opponent guessing and you should do OK. Uhh...i think Bonerine's slide assist is the only assist you need to block low. Posted by pulsr on 10:05:2001 04:06 AM: theres a guy i play that plays this dude and he gets annoying, if u play a weak anti air assist team... like only have cable as an anti air.. you can be kinda umm screwed even if the person is storm all all u do is get hit by there anti air and just do the tomb thing over nad over... it gets annoying cause your anti air cant reach, it can even keep storm and black heart out of the game cause it comes out pretty fast=/ All times are GMT.
